You will be surprised by the space in this modern apartment situated in a renovated 17th century building. On the first floor you will find the living area with a sofa and an armchair. A television set with more than 30 cable channels is at your disposal and also a DVD player to watch your favorite movie.

The open kitchen is fully equipped so you can make a delicious meal for the other guests.You can make a hot cup of coffee with the available coffee machine and even smoke a cigarette with your coffee at the dining table because smoking is permitted.

Two bedrooms with double beds are on the second floor and also the bathroom with a bathtub, a shower, a sink and a toilet. Clean towels and bed linen are available.

Please note: There are steep stairs in this apartment, therefore it is less suitable for small children, the elderly, or disabled people.

Location

The apartment is also close to de Pijp, where you will find an abundance of cafés, restaurants and the famous Albert Cuypmarkt. This open market is worthwhile a visit. Try to eat a raw, salted herring with sliced onions. This is a typical Dutch delicacy.

Take some time out to relax in the delightful Vondelpark on your way back to the apartment. Here you can enjoy an Amsterdam coffee in the Art Deco style Blue Tea House or just wander to your heart’s content around the mile long park, with beautiful water features and landscaped green open spaces. You can find lots of unusual wildlife in the Vondelpark including a family of storks and hundreds or wild green parrots that have taken up home here over the recent years. Their squawks are unmistakable. With over 10 million visitors every year the park proves to be popular with everybody.

The Museum square has that name because three museums are located on this square. The biggest museum in the Netherlands is the Rijksmuseum, specialized in painting of the Dutch Masters of the 17ht century. The Night Watch of Rembrandt is the main attraction but also the Milkmaid of Johannes Vermeer is very popular. The Van Gogh museum attracts the most visitors of all the museums in Holland. This museum has 200 paintings, 500 drawings or sketches and 700 letters of Van Gogh. You can admire two self-portraits and famous paintings like the Sunflowers, his Bedroom and the Potato Eaters.
